Abstract

|
The use of a prophylactic antibiotics in elective major gynecology and obstetric operations was evaluated during the period from Jan. 1971 to July 1972 in the Gyn.-Ob. Dept. of Presbyterian Hospital in Taegu. 1) The average duration of admission in the group receiving prophylactic antibiotics was 8.3 days, in the group without antibiotics 6.5 days. 2) The morbidity (Fibrile course) showed 16.6% (24) and 17.6% (26), respectively. 3) The complecations showed 14.0% (20) and 14.7% (21), respectively.
